Lily thanks for the link to these songs.It is great to see Chris sing Seabird one of hundreds of his songs that I adore but have never seen him sing live.
With regard to the other link thanks Jutta for that.I don't know but I think for the reason they are singing it's not too bad.Since Kevin is on the Accordion and he wrote this song I wonder why he did not ask Chris to sing it?

yes, the children are lovely of course. But they deserve a better song. Just my opinion and a matter of taste.
It would be interesting to know with how many musicians Chris has played in his long career and how he was getting to know them.
I heard about a background singer who sadly died (a year ago?). I read an article that Chris visited him in hospital but I have forgotten the name of this man.

That seems to make sense as Chris didn't give the impression he was "singing" as from messing around but it was still very funny to watch
