Andorra Star Blues connection

As most of us know ,the track on the Delmont's cd -Andorra Star Blues - was written by Chris to remember the death of 700 Italian immigrants who were killed by a German U-Boat while on thier way to Canada .Well ,a bit of a coincidence , as while watching the news on the tv , I see that my local Church, St Andrew's Cathedral ,are opening a garden in rememberance of the Andorra Star . I know it's not really a Chris Rea story , but just thought some of us may want to know what the music was about in more detail , as CR has said the story has left a huge impression on him!!..........links They are looking for £1.5m in donations ....Bart , Phone CR .....

Tina , the story seems to have dropped out of the news here , but I will let you know when I hear anything . I have actually recently e.mailed Archbishop Mario Conti to let him know of the Chris Rea connection , but I have'nt heard anything back yet .I'm sure CR would be interested , certainly after hearing the interview when he talks of all his old relatives visiting the family home , and all the old guys crying.
