Chris Rea on Sky April 17th 2008

Post by ace of hearts »

Set the Sky+ or recorder dvd or video for 8.30pm uk time Sky Arts Channel 267 or 268 if you are lucky enough to have High definition. The programme is called 'Soundtrack to my life' and is a one on one with the great man himself. He talks about his music and influences, as well as playing some of his songs. It is a good series and is repeated at various times after the 17th. See the link for more info. :D

A great show it was as well. Chris was very relaxed talking about his career from it's beginning until now and he also stated that he has started work on 3 more Ear books already! :D Can't wait for their release. He played a couple of tunes live including Fool and On The Beach and spoke about his recent health problems and the difference in life living down south as opposed to his roots in Middlesbrough.

Fingers crossed someone will down load this on to You-tube for you all too see as I think this is the most relaxed I have ever seen Chris while being interviewed. For those who have Sky the program is being repeated this Saturday at 1.30pm I believe.

Hi Everyone,
This was one of the better interviews that I have seen Chris do.He was very relaxed and in great form.He just picked up a guitar and started singing which was amazing. He had Robert and Martin there too but it was very easy listening. The news of 3 further Ear books is just fanastic :) :) Something to look forward to. This interview was done in the last week or so so it is right up to the minute. If you get a chance to see it I suggest that you do.
Tina :) :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARK :)

Agree with the other posts, great show.
Special mention goes to Chris's guitar solo on "LEGACY BLUES" , it was one of his best ever ,especially in the intimate surroundings of the t.v studio.

I agree with you Alan.We know Chris is capable of singing like this but to see him do it was amazing and it wasn't one of the familar/older songs either.I love that song.
