Hi Anneke,

it was long since clear that it is going to be another ''Best of'' tour, but I suspect that we may expect also a La Passione song in the setlist, e.g. You Must Follow, as a sign that there is also something new coming soon.

BTW, there is another tour date added to those listed on chrisrea.com - Nov 28th, Monte-Carlo Jazz Festival at Monte-Carlo Opera’s Salle Garnier in Monaco: http://www.montecarlosbm.com/news/monte ... -2014-4-2/

Hi Andrey,

I do hope you're right.
Do you got a full setlist on the Sochi event?
This Monte Carlo Jazz festival hadn't got my attention yet. It's a busy tour scheme like this.
Thanks!

Hi again Anneke,

I really doubt that somebody in Sochi was really interested to know the exact setlist, so, to be honest, I even do not expect or hope to get this information. Maybe it will be revealed accidentally. I do believe the setlist was identical to that of Montreux Jazzfest:

Last Open Road
Long Gone
Where the Blues Come From
Josephine
Easy Rider
Looking for the Summer
Stony Road
Still So Far to Go
Somewhere Between Highway 61&49
Stainsby Girls
The Road to Hell
On the Beach
Let's Dance

Tour schedule is really dense but quite logical - never too far to go from one venue to the next one. Moreover, in recent interviews Chris said he was able to quit flying home every week to see his family while on tour, since both of his daughters are always abroad and Joan is either busy at work or travelling along with him.

best regards

Not real fans there? Okay that is possible.
And yes his shedule is thight this year, kids all grown up and he says in a Tour they're "spoiled rotten".
Did you see this picture where he's put in a private plane from Russia back to the UK?
I have no idea how to put a photograph here, email it to you!
Maybe this links works, I really don't know...

Hi everybody,

here is the exact setlist from Sochi (2014-09-19):

01 The Last Open Road
02 Work Gang
03 Where the Blues Come From
04 Josephine
05 Easy Rider
06 The Truth / 'Til The Morning Sun Shines on My Love and Me
07 Julia
08 Looking for the Summer
09 Stony Road
10 Come So Far, Yet Still So Far to Go
11 Somewhere Between Highway 61 & 49
12 Stainsby Girls
13 The Road to Hell (Parts 1 and 2)
Encores:
14 On the Beach
15 Let's Dance

Thus, everything was as expected, no surprises. Good to know at least it was a full-time 15-song gig.
Chris is reported to have been very energetic and enthusiastic upon his performance, no chewing gum or something, which is also good to know.

Some more pictures from the gig, courtesy of Krasnodar-Region.com:

Hi everyone,

here is the fresh addition on YouTube from Chris's gig in Sochi on Sep 19th: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HBKzT9xluVU

A very close audience shooting of The Road to Hell performance with PINKY STRAT instead of Italia!!!

So at least one surprise. I recall the last time Chris played The Road to Hell with Pinky was in Germany back in 2001...

Hi Andrey,

Great pictures indeed!
Maybe flew in and out of Sochi, or did he stay in Sochi? I remember something about a hotel, but you can stay there only for a few hours of course. Such a shame we don't know anything, it get boring :/

Best wishes,
Anneke

Hi all,

Chris Rea was guest in a German radio show telling about his new tour, through the next link you can find the information.
Nothing about a new release though :/
It is going to be a Greatest Hits Tour.
