New Single...

Post by Peter S... »

Hi,

The new single Come So Far But Still So Far To Go was played tonight
on the Chris Evans show.

I have put the link to the show below, it comes on about 1 hour 25mins ish......

Good beat, decent lyrics, deep gravelly voice and a wee bit of slide
at the end....voted a hit by the shows listeners.

As i type the Chris Evans show is still broadcasting, so go to the
Listen Again link soon and find that song.....and enjoy Chris is back.

Behind the guarded walls I used to go
Upon a summer wind there's a certain melody
Takes me back to the place that I know
Down on the beach

[EDIT: Please don't use this word], tried again and guess what, IT WAS THERE AFTER ALL :)

First of all, the song is just great :)

Second thing, it´s just [EDIT: Please don't use this word] shame that this great song is wasted on some Best Of album, simply stupid.

Third thing, this is what I want to hear from Chris, bluesy stuff !
Too many good words to add here.

Oh yes it's just brilliant! As I was the one who complained about the sound quailty, I have to say that this song has real sound and real drums, the beat is similar to that in "I Can't Dance to That". I was really happy to hear it :) Thanks so much for the link!

Thank you Peter for this information. I've listened to the new song. The sound quality is excellent and I think this tune is just great!
I also thought one could sense some ZZ Top sound in it.
Best regards to all,
Chris

Hello everyone,
Thanks Alan, sounds good, I thought of ZZ Top as well. I thought it was a bit short but I guess that is a radio edit. I wonder if this is an indication of the direction next years album will take.
Happy days,
Kev.

Hi, just got to listen to 'Come So Far But Still So Far To ' and I REAlly like it. A rocky blues song that certainly gets the foot tapping. This is calssic stuff from chris, pity there are just two new songs to look forward to this year.
He sounds on form, and the production on the track sounds sweet.
Rich.

Yes, on this track there ain´t no complains with the sound in my case either.
And the ZZ Top is the first thing you notice when you hear the guitar riff.
This is truly that kind of blues boogie that I want to hear from Chris and I hope
that this is the direction with the new album which comes out 2010.
Too many good words to add here.
