Yes, thanks to Mark i thought lets take a look to see if there is any further news. A new tour is like Chris Rea would say "fantastic". Maybe strange but besides the music the most i am curious about is the autobiography.

Hi, glad for the news, but I would be surprised if this was to be another best of CD. I remember on the release of Hofner Blue Notes Chris did an interview on Radio two with Simon Mayo. He said his next project would continue the story, and have a visual side on a dvd also. Has this concept been shelved then i wonder.
Look forward to any tour. :)
could this be true, could this be me..

Great to see Chris looking well, & great to know there's something coming soon, but If It Is another Best Of / Greatest Hits Etc. do we need another one ? If there Is to be two singles released & they are new songs this could stop people like me getting the album If all the other songs on It are the ones we have & love ie Fool, On The Beach, Road To Hell etc.
I love Chris Rea's work, but If this Is another Best Of type release I already have 4 of these from New Light to last years compilation. Sorry to sound down about a new release, I just hope Its all new stuff & not more of the same.

I [EDIT: Please don't use this word] hate this if it´s another best of album. I didn´t buy the previous two best of albums either and hell won´t get this one either if it´s a [EDIT: Please don't use this word] best of album. I really start to hate the old songs because of these every year best of albums. Bring on the new music and forger already the old "hits", they are soon turning to "shits". And one or two new songs doesn´t justify this idiotic wave of best of albums, not to mention new versions, I don´t care how they sound but won´t buy old songs anymore. Getting almost angry here
Too many good words to add here.
I better just sit back and drink beer. :)

Try to look at it positive, at least two new numbers, a tour and lets hope a very good autobiography
I am getting sick and tired of the "best of" albums also, already have a couple

In the end i think he will surprise us.

Hi Everyone,
I think most of us feel the same about the Greatest Hits/Best of albums of Chris as he does have quite a lot :)
The way I see it is...or hope it is.... that Chris won't do a tour on the back of 2 new songs at least if his previous tour history is anything to go by :) I am hopeful there will be a new album on the way and this will be the basis of his tour next year.

This is very true.Chris has always surprised us with his new albums so hopefully this time will be the same :)
Tina :) :)

Maybe it's one cd of old hits and one new album like he pretenders have done?
(Probably wishful thinking, as I too am sick of compilations)

Well, Chris himself told that it would be over, his past with the old hits.
Now it´s [EDIT: Please don't use this word] second best of during 12 months or so. That+s insane.
I don´t like anyone that much that I would buy the old songs year after year.
Only idiots do like that. And [EDIT: Please don't use this word] I love Chris Rea and his music.
Bring on the new music and forget about it the old ones already.
Getting sick with it

The latest double cd was ofcourse the legendary "Stony Road". If that's a sign? Further on the ballad "Valentine" is in December but the new record(s) are in October? Most artist come first with a single and then the album.

Probably has material for a couple cd's already.

Yes, that's what I thought. Why release another Best Of if you have so many new ideas waiting?
Hmm... I didn't even like the "Fool ..." with the remastered hits. It's better to let them be as they are. You can't make them better in the studio.
