Just wondering do any of you guys know the guitar chords for 'Wired to the Moon'? Cant seem to find them anywhere online, can find 'Ace of Hearts' and 'Touche D'amour' from the wired to the moon album pretty easily but 'Wired to the Moon' is the song I'm really looking for. I've loved this song since before I could walk, remember my Dad used to always play it in the car, would absolutely love to be able to play it. If anybody could help me out that would be amazing!

Cheers
Rob
Hi Rob,

I just joined this forum so apologies for replying to your 10 year old post. Was just wondering if you ever got the chords to Wired to the Moon that you were looking for? If not, I can write them out for you. It's in F major (unusual for Chis as his goto is open E tuning).

Code: Select all

F/A  Bb                                                         F
          Sleep tonight little girl, go right on through, no-one can wake you now.

F/A Bb                                                                      F
          You're falling through your dreams, sliding down every beam, 'cause you don't know how.

                  Dm
Don't know how to hurt.
                  Bb
Don't know how to lie.

                           Dm
You just don't know how to do it.

                    Bb  Bb/C                                Dm
You couldn't if you tried 'cause you're wired to the moon.

             Bb                        Dm  Bb
You innocent light will be shadows too soon.

Gm7                 Bb                F
Sleep little angel, stay wired to the moon.
Here's the chords I use for it:

Code: Select all

F
E A D G B E
============ 1ST FRET
X| | | |X|X|
------------
 | | |X| | |
------------
 | |X| | | |

F/A (F major with A in the bass):
E A D G B E
==O========= 1ST FRET
 | | | |X|X|
------------
 | | |X| | |
------------
 | |X| | | |

Bb
E A D G B E
============ 1ST FRET
 |X| | | | |
------------
 | | | | | |
------------
 | |X|X|X| |

Dm (5th fret)
E A D G B E
============ 5TH FRET
 |X| | | | |
------------
 | | | |X| |
------------
 | |X|X| | |

Bb/C (B flat over a C bass) (play at the 3rd fret):
E A D G B E
============ 3RD FRET
 |X|X|X|X|X|
------------
 | | | | | |
------------
 | | | | | |

Gm7 (G minor, dominant 7th) (play at 3rd fret)
E A D G B E
============ 3RD FRET
X| |X|X|X|X|
------------
 | | | | | |
------------
 |X| | | | |

Tip: When playing the F chord, don't bother playing a barre chord. Just play the chord using your thumb to play the F on the 6th string. Then you can add a 9th by lifting your middle finger on and off the G string (which is playing an A note for the chord of F major) which kinds of mimics the keyboards on this song.

It's a beautiful song. Hope this helps after all these years :-)

If it's of any use I can make a little video showing how to put the chords together. If anyone is interested please let me know.

All the best

Hello Mark, Welcome to the forum and great addition to this topic. Sadly the user Rob hasn't been online since 2013 so I don't think he'll read your comment. Regratably I don't play guitar but perhaps you chords can be of use for other visitors.
Would be nice if you post a topic in Introduce yourself.
