Hi, Merry Christmas to everyone, hope you REAlly have a gREAt time.
Anyway came across this, an estimation of what Chris might rceive in royalties for his favourite festive song, I love it anyway. The story says up to print about £209,000 but there is a link to a live estimation which has moved onto £212,000.

Good for Chris, hope he's feeling well and maybe ready for new music soon.

In North America (Canada) this is the only Chris Rea song we ever hear on the radio.
I was shopping at an Italian deli (how fitting) the other day and it was playing on their internal music system.
I've heard it in Mexico ,Chile , Argentina and New Zealand.
It seems to be a Christmas standard everywhere !

On Chris Rea's Facebook page there's an announcement about a "series of interviews" regarding his classic songs. In the first video he's providing the background information on how the "Driving Home For Christmas" song came about.

Yeah, "Driving Home For Christmas" is being played here, in Poland, just about everywhere: on the radio, at the shopping malls and at some major events as well.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, 2019, to everyone.
Chris
