Yeah, a typical Chris Rea's song it is. Thank you Ann for posting it. I would say I could detect some old elements from different tunes by Chris, but I like it anyway. Hopefully the whole album will be similar. Easy listening, good for the road.
Best regards to you all,
Chris
A lot of things is much clearer now, after this interview. I think we all should be thankful for everything he does for us under these circumstances, as far as the new CD and the tour. My God, a stroke, problems with two fingers (probably numb) and the body partially out of balance. All this on top of previous medical problems. But this would explain why he remakes some tunes, instead of relying on brand new songs. I don't really believe the tour is in this situation necessary.
I think he wants too, it's way more easy to stay at home, but Chris Rea wants to go on. I think he needs this. In the other interview he mentioned Phil Collins, who went back on stage too. Although he has physical trouble too. The meed to play. I don't nelieve it is the money.
He estimated that he does it out of obligation with the record company or perhaps because of financial problems that caused the stroke. Maybe we will see him playing the guitar and singing in a sitting position. God bless it is my desire. The less that I can ask the culprit of musicality my life
yes, think record company requires that there is tour to promote the new album.
also, record company takes huge amount of the profit on album sales, so tour is needed to fix his financial problems, just the album sales won't take him far with that.
Yeah, I guess you are right; Chris, most probably, would have contract obligations to go on tour as well as participating in a few promotional events together with publishing an album. It's all a bit complicated, I know.
Good morning,
I closed my Facebook wall with the breakfast interview from last Monday, I managed to get it on YT.
Quality is still bad But anyone can see it from there if wanted:
