Hi Tobias,

according to the same "inside info" I got earlier this year, it is believed to be an "ordinary" album of about 12 songs, not an earbook. But I think there will be kind of Deluxe Edition as well, maybe even more than one. BMG won't waste a chance to grab some extra bob when it is field-tested marketing approach now which proved to work well with other mainstream releases. The format of Deluxe editions may be whatever, including Blu-Ray and Vinyl boxes, I presume. Depends much of CR nanagement which I still know nothing about.

Best wishes
Andrey

I'm asking myself why his gig prices are higher as we are used of him. Would the band he travels with be bigger?
It will be different if that is the reason. So this CD is made in a normal studio so the sound will be better.
I liked them homemade too. Some more than others.
I'm really intrigued by the lenght of this Tour. He goes to more countries, compared to 2014. So many questions, I hope he starts promoting, since he seems to have a different record company.

Hello Anneke,

I consider the higher ticket prices are general tendency for all the mainstram artists on the major labels and hardly ever depend on the band/crew size and their salaries etc. Take Phil Collins as example, his shows tickets pricing is a disaster, and still all sold out - so the labels and promoters know better. It is highly probable that BMG account for a more commercially attractive album announced and overprice a bit, which is logical, in comparison to previous years.

For the length and geography of the tour it seems a bit longer and wider than 2014 (Western Europe added) but pretty close to those of 2006-2012 tours so it is not something outstanding. They say some more dates to added but I do not expect it to be far over 33 dates announced for 2014 tour.

best wishes

Hi Andrey,
If he used a sax on his new album he might add a saxophonist to his Band.
That would give a nice touch to Live shows. I remember reading him and Max tried playing a Sax or a trumpet, but it was to hard to do. Sometimes old plans come up in a new Tour.
Like the Fireflies became the Delmonts in 2008. I think there is a reason the gigs are more expensive.
It's normal to pay about 55 Euro, I paid 76 now. Almost half more. But i go anyway... ;)

Best wishes,
Anneke

Dear Ann,

I still insist the pricing has nothing to do with the band (which is most likely not even considered yet anyhow), but with the label's approach. Before 2004 Blue Jukebox tour where sax was crucial, Chris last used it as part of live set back in 1987 for a part of the songs. And let us move this discussion to the proper topic: http://www.chrisrea.nl/community/viewto ... =17&t=2762

Hi Andrey,

I check this site almost daily, that topic did not pop up, weird! But thanks.

Maybe he can "reactivate" Kevin Leach - he can play Sax like he did back in the 80's. :D

For the ticket prices: maybe they did some calculations and found out that the venues had been sold out the last years and so they can try to take a bit more money this time.

Or maybe Chris' management made a better deal, who knows?

At least in Berlin the Tempodrom seems to be his favourite venue - he was there in 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2014 and will also be there in Autumn. To me it seemed sold out when I was there.

Judging by database, Leach is inactive since 1990: https://www.discogs.com/artist/658736-Kevin-Leach I heard he had some health issues. So if someone we know to have played sax with Chris, it only may be Eric Seva (2004) or Dave Camp (1987), I recall his comments on Chris's live videos at YouTube.
