Chris Rea in the German Top 10

Hi,
Chris Rea entered the German Album Charts at No. 10 - that's his highest entry since the Blue Cafe back in 1998. I think that's very impressive!!!

Wow! I must say, it's really unexpected. Or we can put it that way - if Blue Guitars or Stony Road were promoted by WB, they could have topped the charts then.

yes, last week it was even a 9 at Media Markt charts, a big hifi and music store. And it was "CD of the week" on several radio stations. Seems to be a success here.
But I must admit that I havent had the time yet to buy it for myself ...
Would you recommend it?

just a little correction: Stony Road highest ranking was No.6 in the german Album charts for 10 days.

Oh, that sounds fare then. As for it being 'album of the week', it's just part of the promotion like on BBC, for sure.

More impressively, he was no. 13 in the UK album charts, again, the best since the Blue Cafe.

in the official Album Charts Stony Road reached No. 11 for two weeks - so, Santo Spirito is the first Top 10 CD since 1998...but let's see for how long it will stay in the charts.
