Well, so they really know what they're doing! Even if we know that there are too many "Best of"s, it sells well. Maybe they really know the whole audience better than we do.

Great to know Chris is doing that good in the charts, sort of a 30th birthday gift to him from all of us fans who are 'FOOLS" and never get tired of his old and new music!... :D

On the outside seal of the dg-pack it says: "3 decades of hits newly remastered", one of the main reasons I think, for another 'best of', to actually reach 3 generations of music fans.

On the inside booklet, Chris says:

"So why would I agree to do some "liner" notes for another 'best of' CD?

Well, one reason is, they tell me, it's been exactly 30 years...that's not a reason for celebration, when it's your thirty years! Someone else's... maybe... but not your own!

This time, is simple, someone at 'the company' cares. This might lead to new and interesting things, and just as important, we can now do a full tour to go with it. And that's what it's all about for people like us.

When you love music so passionately, and you have finally crossed the river of rock and pop, all that's left is the music, and the raging volcano of new musical ideas. So I thank these young people for letting me loose again, to make some more music, because if music is your very soul then there is still so, so far to go."

Well, I honestly believe 30 years IS a big reason to celebrate, specially when Chris is still going strong as an artist, and I have loving respect for the man that has given so much joy for over 30 years.

With all the crappy music what gets in the charts, I guess there has to be someone good in there as well, and
that´s where Chris comes in.....
Too many good words to add here.
I better just sit back and drink beer. :)

Like pizzaaddi wrote, Chris' new album is holding steady at #8 here:

Is that a reliable site? I'm not familiar with UK charts....

Hi Lily, yes that is the official chart listings, the one National radio uses. No.8 is a really good position and is reward for the hard work he has put in promoting the album.
