Yes, I wanted to post the condolences too. It's very sad, I couldn't believe it when I heard it had happened.

Thank you Jim, Elangelo, Tina and all those who didn't write, but wanted to...
I was at our village farmers' market on Saturday, April 10, and upon hearing the story of the presidential plane crash near Smolensk, in Russia, I thought at first the fellow who mentioned it, was just joking. Well, it turned out to be a tragic news.
We went with my wife to Warsaw early Sunday morning to lay some flowers and light a candle ("so, I'll light a candle for you...") in front of the empty presidential palace, but still guarded by the elite troops. There were already thousands of people standing there with us who had the same idea 'to go and do something'... All of us united in spirit, kept silence and were visually deeply moved.
A horrible event like this automatically brings back memories and you probably already know that we (Poles) have this saying "well, just light a candle for me" (in case something goes wrong) and Chris Rea wrote these beautiful lyrics in "Candles", using precisely this particular phrase. We all know these lyrics by heart by now, I guess.
Thank you.
Chris

Thanks to all. Indeed this is something you wouldn't even try to imagine that could happen.
