Re: A new Tour "last open Road

Yeah, more nostalgic and melancholic in his style, but he couldn't be more Italian, in his playing now. I haven't seen him since his last Warsaw gig, back in 2012, and I'm looking forward to his concert in Munich, on November 18, 2014. I'd like to say I didn't see anything wrong Chris chewing gum wh...

Re: New tour!

Hi Ann, Andrew and all others, I regret very much that (apparently) Chris won't be coming our way, meaning: to other countries in Eastern Europe. But, at the same time, I can understand why. I admire him for his plans to play so many gigs anyway, especially in Germany. So, for me it won't be a probl...

Re: New tour!

Hello to you hi it'sme, I realize that Chris' schedule is already packed and there's hardly a date left to squeeze in a gig in Warsaw (or in other Polish city). Besides, it would be too costly and very difficult logistically. It takes time and money to shuffle people and equipment from city to city,...

Re: New tour!

I hope he'll be playing in Warsaw as well. I found another date for Chris in Salzburg, Austria, on October 29, 2014. As far as musicians during this tour, Martin Ditcham is currently with the Latin Quarter band and I think they are touring as well, promoting their new album called the "Tilt&quo...

Re: A new Tour "last open Road

Hello all,
Great news! Thank you Ann for it. At last a new tour!
Never mind we would have to wait for it until November.
Hopefully, there will be a new album out, as well?
All the best to other Chris Rea's fans,
Chris

News at last! Thank you for your review. Could you please post some pictures?
Perhaps you could re-create the set list?
The main thing is: Chris went back to the stage.

Re: Chris on Bill Wyman`s exhibit

Thank you Jutta for this link.
The daughter, to which the caption refers to, must be Josephine, I would say.
But then, it could be Julia, too! One way or another, she evidently grew up!
Taka care,
Chris

Re: Boz Scaggs-Memphis CD (5 March '13)

Hi All; long time no see.... Bozz Scaggs I already have, but there's a brand new CD out by Billy Bragg titled "Tooth & Nail". Available in the UK as of March 18 and in the US since March 19. I don't know if anyone had mentioned here Eric Clapton's "Old Sock", with 12 tracks, ...

Re: Shout out to Chris (Poland)

Paolo Conte is a true legend, a singing lawyer from Asti in Piemonte. He's got class. He is elegant in his songs. A true poet as well as a great musician (a cantautore). I treasure him a lot because he composes his songs and sings them the way he does best. I wish I knew Italian, but one can get som...

Re: Shout out to Chris (Poland)

Oh yeah, John Hiatt, he's been around for a long, long time... I remember him from the 70's with his "She Loves The Jerk" and other good songs.
Ryan Bingham, is he that good? Well, you say? I would have to listen to him a bit longer.
Take care,
Chris

Re: Hint to Chris Rea; Rickie Lee Jones's newest CD

An interesting compilation.
Coco Robicheaux, one of my favored musicians from Louisiana, passed away last November at the age of 64.
He was known for his "hoodoo blues" style. A mixture of cajun and blues.
Take care,
Chris
