Re: Chris Rea "B Sides" recordings

I used to think that I must be Chris Rea's biggest fan but I am humbled by the collections some of you have. (and maybe just a little bit jealous  )

Re: Chris Rea "B Sides" recordings

Hi Lilly,

I don't know much about the other tunes but 'smile' is on the Christmas EP and a nice tune.

Looks like I'll be searching for this one as well :D prepare for a bidding war if one becomes available.

Re: Chris Rea "B Sides" recordings

Hi Tina, I didn't have any Chris Rea singles, just every album, and didn't think of buying any until this week and notably after reading this thread. The singles I brought this week are Julia which has 'I thought I Was Going To Lose You' and 'Jordan 191' as b-sides and 'You Can Go Your Own Way' with...

Re: Chris Rea "B Sides" recordings

This thread has got me scouring e-bay and I have bought the single versions of Julia and You Can Go Your Own Way and it's great to hear some songs I didn't know existed on their B-sides. I also upgraded my versions of Shamrock Diaries and Water Sign to Cd as I only had them on tape and vinyl. I have...

'Three Little Green Candles' is another b-side not mentioned above. It's on the 'You Can Go Your Own Way' single.

Re: Chris Rea "B Sides" recordings

Hi Peter,

'Before I Go' was the theme tune to the film 'Parting Shots' which stared Chris Rea, could you tell me which singles B-side this song appears on?

Cheers. :D

Re: Which song done it for you and which still does?

Hi Lily b, I envy you! I am fortunate to have all of Chris Rea's albums and love every one of them but to be in a position where there are still quite a few albums and songs of his you haven't heard yet would give me a great feeling! I remember when I first started buying his albums and over the per...

Re: "Broken Bones"

"broke bones" is a phrase also used in 'Blues For Janice' and 'Meet Me On A Mountain' from the Hofner Blue notes album.

Which song done it for you and which still does?

There's quite a few topics on favourite songs or albums but it would be interesting to hear, if you can remember, which was the first Chris Rea song you remember hearing that caused you to go out and by your first album of his? Also to go with this which 1 song from his new album makes you realise w...
