Re: 'La Passione' 2 CD and 4 DVD earbook release 2015

Hi to all, people were wondering about the cover. It shows Wolfgang Berghe von Trips' racing helmet and goggles plus the Ferrari horse. The heraldic shield on the helmet is the one of the racing drivers' association 'Scuderia Colonia' , which was founded on January 13th 1960 by Berghe von Trips. It ...

Re: A new Tour "last open Road

Hi again, be sure I don't want to start a contest. I only saw Richard Eglen's photos on the Facebook link and noticed the 'Julia' snowflakes appear on pic 6 as well. Here you can clearly identify the brown Fender. In any way I'm grateful for your corrections of my December 2nd post - after some days...

Re: A new Tour "last open Road

Hi Andrey,
are you sure it's Pinky on the photo?
The snowflakes appeared during 'Julia' and here he played it on his brown Fender.

Best regards

Re: A new Tour "last open Road

By the way, looking for UK reviews I have just found on setlist.fm that in Manchester and Edinburgh Looking for the Summer was not played. The list goes directly from Julia to Stony Road.
Has anybody been to one of the concerts and can verify?

Thanks.

Re: A new Tour "last open Road

Hi Andrey,
you are the expert.
I just have my memories and photos of a great (but too short) concert...

Thank you for your constant research and deep knowledge.

Best regards!

Re: A new Tour "last open Road

Hi Andrey, as you suggested I checked again and I think you are right: it would be a Maranello classic. What puzzles me is the logo on the black headstock. For me it starts with an H and an o and has an oldfashioned 'f' in the middle. So I read it as 'Hofner'. It is definitely not the known 'Italia'...

Re: A new Tour "last open Road

Hi, it is really amazing how Chris seemed to have used different guitars for different songs on each gig. As I also have taken shots for every song in Hannover I can follow his use there. For those who are interested, here is the Hannover list: Last Open Road: a Hofner( ? - that's at least what the ...

Re: A new Tour "last open Road

Hi Tobi777, in Hannover Chris played "On the Beach" on his famous "Pinky" Fender Strat with the legendary Formentera sticker (the song was written there). Sorry, I don't know how to post photos on this site but I have some fairly good shots taken during the performance. Perhaps someone can tell me h...

Re: A new Tour "last open Road

Hi Ann,
"The Truth" was part of a very long and interesting intro to "Morning Sun"-. I'm looking forward to my USB-guitar-stick to hear it again.
Greetings to all.

Re: A new Tour "last open Road

Hi to all, we saw Chris in Hannover on November 12. After what we had read about noseebleed and having to go to hospital in Dusseldorf we were happy to see him in excellent form. He imporovised long soli in a very different way compared to the 2012 tour. The sound was mellower, even Kirt Rust had hi...

Re: Whatever Happened to Benny Santini re release

Hi Andrew, of course your post has been noticed. When I read it on October 10th only Amazon UK offered a pre-order. Now also Amazon Germany has it on sale for November 21st (21,98€). As you pointed out it is not a vinyl disc but a CD in the retro LP-look as the ones on the "Return of the Hofner Blue...

Re: A new Tour "last open Road

Hi to all and a big "Thank you" to Chris and andrew fischer for posting both the interview and the two marvellous videos. After having seen the Montreux videos many times now I think Chris Rea seems to be back to the sound of 2006 to 2010: slower, softer with a sound mellower than in the 2012 concer...

Re: New tour!

Hi Chris, I hope for other concerts as well. But when I look at his schedule it seems to be a tight knit affair. Only two free days between Nuremberg and Düsseldorf (1st and 2nd Nov.) and two free days between Baden-Baden and Paris (2oth and 21st Nov.) The other pauses are only one day and Chris wil...

Re: New tour!

Hi to all,
I just found another tour date on www.songkick: 30th October in the O2 arena in Prague! Looks like there will be some more concerts in other European contries.
