Re: 'La Passione' 2 CD and 4 DVD earbook release 2015

Just my take on what the "reworked" version of the film might be. I attach a Youtube clip from the original release where Chris says the original intention was for him to have a narration link between each piece of music and I suspect that is what we will get ie none of the original film b...

Re: CR Official Live Recordings

Hi Andrey After checking I see from Lily's video site that Chris did 4 numbers on the Loudon & Co show. In no particular order they were Espresso Logic, Working On It, This Kind Of Love and Let's Dance. The show was recorded on 29th March 1994 at the Old Fruitmarket in Glasgow. I'd be surprised ...

Re: CR Official Live Recordings

By way of a PS Andrey the Spring Newsletter for 1994 lists the Paris gig as Monday 14th March followed later in the month on the 21st and 22nd at the Music Hall Toronto, the 23rd at the Spectrum Montreal and on the 25th in New York at a venue to be confirmed.

Re: CR Official Live Recordings

Hi Andrey I think I have some answers for you again as the reference point I have gone back to my catalogue of Fan Club Newsletters and in particular the Summer 1994 edition. A group of about 50 UK fans went to see Chris perform at the Grand Rex in Paris in February/March and the set list you show w...

Re: CR's 1st ever CD album issue (Shamrock Diaries?)

Hi Andrey Just to add my 2 penneth to this discussion. I have a copy of the printed "Chris Rea Discography" issued to fan club members back in the days of typewriters (remember them?) and compiled by my late friend Paul Mullen and Andy Simons and whilst there is a disclaimer that the infor...

Re: CR Official Live Recordings

Hi Andrew As I suspected more questions than answers in trying to solve the riddle? Certainly Set Me Free is not included as a track on Aberdeen Realist or Working On It Paris bootlegs though I do have it included on a bootleg from Saarbrucken in Germany where it is a final encoure number following ...

Re: CR Official Live Recordings

Andrew I suspect the 1993 broadcast is the one that came out as the bootleg God's Great Realist which was recorded in Aberdeen in 1993 and I'm pretty sure broadcast by the BBC. The Shepherds Bush bootleg might be my only venture into recording a Chris show and I kept to the set list though as you po...

Re: All unique songs CR has ever played on full time gigs

Hi Andrey

Like you I have Chris singing some acoustic versions of the songs you mention. The only other one I have is warm and Tender Lovewhich Chris had in his 1990 set list bootlegs of which I have from Glasgow and Frieburg fromthat tour

Best wishes

Re: All unique songs CR has ever played on full time gigs

PS I also have a bootleg of Chris singing Wired To The Moon as the final song on his visit to the Newcastle City Hall on the 11th Septembet 1984. It is the final song and fades after about 2min. 30 seconds.

Re: All unique songs CR has ever played on full time gigs

I do have a (poor) bootleg of Chris' concert at the Ice Rink Whitley Bay on the 9th December 1988 where the final encore song was Driving Home For Christmas and as I was at the that concert ( and I think the same one at Wembley Arena) Chris threw out a large inflatable Santa Clause into the audience...
