Re: New Single...

I agree with Mr_Blues, at least there's a conversation happening, I keep returning to the site! it might have gone off on a tangent, but that isnt a bad thing, conversations flow and shouldn't be closed or stopped etc. if you we want to discuss how bluesy or not the new single/ chris's early discogr...

Re: New Single...

The heart of many of chris's songs are very bluesy ideas, well definatley the chris rea brand of blues, e.g. on the beach, the idea of someone intensly missing a certain person, in a certain time and place, is definately the heart of a blues song, watch how he sings it on the DDSR DVD on the piano, ...

Re: CAPO

Chris varies his guitar tunings, I think it on "I cant wait for love" he used open E, on songs like "easy rider" and "stony road" he capo's the third fret to G i think (shortens the strings) othertimes like on "Til the morning" on the last tour it was a D/C tu...

Chris in Bournemouth'08

Great concert last night, chris played with a lot of heart and soul, the power of the blues certainly came across in his singing and slide work, which continues to blow me away. I've seen Chris once before, on his farewell tour in 2006, and having just turned 22 im relatively new to chris's work but...
